What is the Sales Funnel?

People who are "unqualified prospects" will be found at the top of the funnel. This is those who have not met with you, but might be interested in your product or services. After several sales and offers, you will have gotten people who have purchased your product or service.
The effectiveness of a lead generation funnel is due to its ability to track the activities of your customers throughout the expanded sales process. Utilizing the sales funnel to determine the number of qualified prospects at every step, you will be able to predict the number of potential customers who will become actual customers.
A sales funnel allows you to see exactly what and where your sales strategy is not working or working or failing, or if your marketing campaign isn't getting enough potential customers at any point in the process. This information helps you choose where to put your efforts to ensure that sales are on the right level and that you are meeting your marketing goals. It is used to monitor and control the customers sales process.
The Sales Funnel Top Front - End
The top section of your sales funnel will require the most constant testing and be the most engaged. There is no limit to your imagination or resources when it comes to front-end strategies.
The front-end's main objective will be to draw in potential clients and convert these buyers into buyers down the sales funnel.
If a potential customer decides to sign up or purchases the product or service you provide and is "qualified". This is where the potential customer, also known as an "Unqualified Prospect" is now an "qualified lead. They've taken action which suggests they might be interested in the product or service you offer.
You need to create targeted traffic to your blog, website or squeeze page in order for your front-end to work. PPC advertisements, articles for marketing PPC advertising, social media such as Google+, Twitter and Facebook, YouTube, banners and blogs forums, content posting on forums and marketing are all excellent sources.
There are numerous tools to "qualify" the "Unqualified Prospect". One of the more effective is the use of a squeeze page that allows you to offer something of value pertinent to your product or service that folks can get at no cost or at a drastically reduced price in exchange for their email address and name. There are a variety of products to choose from, including newsletters, videos, emails, courses, eBooks, and related reports.
We can see that the front end is where people are attracted to your sales funnel. What about the back end?
The Back-End, or Bottom of The Funnel
The back-end, or bottom of the funnel is where the majority of sales and profits occur. It is where you will typically find more expensive products there. They are all suitable for the same audience, but they are delivered in different formats, like video, audio and live interaction.
The main difference between the front-end of the service and the back-end is the kind of service or cost of the client.
Although it's true that a very tiny percentage of people enter your front -end however, just 1-2% of them will end up in your back-end. Since a small portion of people invest more, that's fine.
While front-end services and products might be cheaper than $100 but back-end products and services typically cost in the hundreds or thousands. This make the bottom or back end of the funnel sales funnel to be the primary source of income for your Internet company, and it's the most reliable and stable area in this sales funnel.
As I said earlier the sales funnel could be as simple or complicated as your creativity or resources permit.
