Cardi B got her first lead role in the upcoming comedy Assisted living– based on a script by This is us Writer Kay Oyegun.
According to Variety Magazine, the rapper is "WAP" will portray A petty crook named Amber who climbs over her head when a robbery worsens. When Amber tries to dodge the police and the gang she runs with, she disguises herself as an older woman. The kidnappings follow when the character seeks refuge in her grandmother's nursing home.
Paramount Pictures will distribute the film, according to Variety. No release date has been announced for Assisted Living.
The film is compared to comedy classics like 1993 Mrs. Doubtfire starring the late Robin Williams and the hit 1982 movie T.ootsie with Dustin Hoffman.
The Grammy-winning presenter made her film debut as Diamond, an exotic dancer, in the hit film in 2019 Hustlers with Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu. She is also in the cast of the upcoming episode of Fast & Furious Franchise, F9.
Cardi rose to fame as a social media darling and exotic dancer before starring in season six Love and Hip Hop: New York. According to the show's fandom site, she has Left The hit reality series in 2016 when her career started.
The entertainer's new series Cardi tries debuted Rolling Stone reported on Facebook Messenger in December. Every Thursday through February 4, the Bronx-American shows off how she tries to complete tasks she is unfamiliar with, including ballet, racing car driving, and refresher.
