Retired former pound-for-pound boxing king Floyd Mayweather Jr. will return to the ring on June 6 for an exhibition match with YouTuber Logan Paul at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.
It is a boxing match that no one asked for necessarily, but it will take place. And it is certain that there will be plenty of eyeballs in this fight as the unbeaten 44-year-old will be giving boxing matches six inches tall and sizeable to his 26-year-old opponent who is 0-1 in the pro.
The long-rumored boxing match was originally scheduled for February 20, but has been postponed indefinitely. It has now been postponed to June as the details of the exhibition continue to be revealed.

Mayweather was last seen in a boxing ring on New Year’s Eve 2018 when he scored a first-round TKO against Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in an exhibition match. Most recently, he competed as a professional against MMA superstar Conor McGregor in 2017 and stopped him in the 10th round to improve to 50-0. His opponent in June will have by far the least boxing experience than any of his previous opponents.
Paul is a huge celebrity who made a name for himself on YouTube but has very little boxing experience. He had a professional match and exhibition, both against YouTuber KSI. The 2018 exhibition ended with a majority raffle, while KSI won the rematch in November 2019 with a decision over six rounds.
It’s clear that this fight has less to do with competitiveness than with a fun way for Paul and Mayweather to make money.
Also on the map: former NFL recipient Chad Johnson, who is expected to fight another former athlete or celebrity.
