How to Create an Effective Sales Funnel Using Instagram

One of the hardest parts of getting ROI from Instagram is that you can only use one link. The link in your bio is the only place you can actively lead a prospect into your sales funnel. This link should be used with care and never simply as a link to your home page.

Since Instagram is not a place where people look for goods and services in order to use this networking platform as a lead generation tool, you need to offer something valuable to your potential customers to get them to click on your bio link.

Enter your magnetic offer

The goal of your Instagram link is to provide something so valuable that the prospect would pay for it if it weren’t for free. But of course they don’t have to pay you. All you need to do is provide your contact information. This can be a free guide, e-book, report, voucher / certificate, video series, webinar, mind map, checklist, or ticket to an event.

After your magnetic offer (or lead magnets), there should be an opportunity for your potential customer to become a customer. If you own an ecommerce business, that offer can come immediately after the first magnet offer, while high-end luxury products might use some messages in between to maintain the relationship before asking about the sale. For counseling services and alternative practitioners, your goal is to get your potential customers to have an offline conversation.

Create your lead magnet

My husband and I have been looking for an apartment for three years now. Several mishaps caused homes we were looking for to fail. In these three years we have seen almost 100 houses.

Many of the houses we looked at have wallpaper that we know needs to be removed. I’ve done this job before, and if you have, you know it sucks. If we embarked on a project like this and I happened to see two ads on my Instagram newsfeed that day, one for an “ultimate guide to wallpaper removal” and one for “a magic wand that removes wallpapers when you blink “. – What do you think I will choose? (If you happen to have the second, I’ll be happy to take it as a gift.)

The reality is, nobody wants more information. Information itself is useless. What we all want is the result that the information provides, and if there is anything else that can give us that result, such as an “easy button,” we do it for every guide, report or e-book . We want to know that everything we say or do has transformative value in our lives.

Same goes for your Instagram platform trunk. If you can help them solve their problem faster with one tool, you will not only have a new email subscriber, but a new customer as well. I’ve split the cookies out of this, and tools hit information every time.
