Tyler Higbee is "in doubt" about a hand injury that occurred during the Rams' game against the Bears on Monday night. Given that it's the last game of the week and Higbee is playing the thinnest position in fantasy football, its active / inactive status is more important than it should, and fantasy owners will no doubt check for updates before making their final decision Week 7.
We will keep the latest Higbee news here until the active / inactive report is posted around 6.45pm. ET on Monday. For more fantasy news, follow us on Twitter @SN_Fantasy.
WEEK 7 SUNDAY INJURIES: Running Backs | Passport catcher
Does Tyler Higbee play Monday night?
After missing training on Thursday and Friday, Higbee (Hand) returned for a limited session on Saturday and is expected to play the Bears Monday night.
WEEK 7 FANTASY: Sleeper | Busts | Start them, put them
Aside from a three TD game in week 2, Higbee hasn't done much this year. He had a season high of 56 meters in week 6, which is a good sign, but a neutral matchup against the Bears combined with his hand injury probably means he's not worth waiting for this week. Given the sad state of the TE position, Higbee owners are likely to feel like they have no choice but to launch it. So it should be available when you need it.
If Higbee is a surprise scratch, Gerald Everett would be the obvious linchpin, and he would have decent worth considering he wouldn't have to share any snaps with Higbee. Jimmy Graham would also be a TD-or-Bust streamer.
