Brush your teeth twice a day

Mouthwash is also great for getting rid of plaque on teeth and gums which helps prevent cavities from forming in the future. Mouthwash has alcohol in it, so using it every day may dry out the mouth too much causing a burning sensation or even bleeding if someone already has an ulcer or sores in their mouth. For this reason, many dentists recommend using mouthwash once per day as long as you are drinking plenty of water afterward to rehydrate your body and prevent dehydration that can lead to more serious issues such as kidney stones, urinary tract infections, or even diabetes!
Floss after every meal for a cleaner smile
It’s important to floss after every meal in order to maintain your teeth and gums. Not only does excess food get stuck between your teeth, but it also leads to plaque build-up which can lead to cavities or gum disease. If you have a hard time remembering this step, set a reminder on your phone right before you eat!

Fruit is another healthy way to increase moisture levels in your mouth – oranges, lemons, limes, honeydew melon, and strawberries are all good choices because they are naturally sweet and don’t contain as many added sugars.

Eating sugary foods or starchy carbs like bread, crackers, and chips can cause tooth decay. You should brush your teeth soon after eating these types of food to avoid stains forming on your teeth. If you have a sugary snack, rinse with water afterward to remove the excess sugar from your mouth. Be careful about consuming too many acidic things – such as lemons or orange juice – because they may wear away at the enamel in your teeth and leave them vulnerable to decay over time.
