QThe presidential debate between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden on Thursday was actually a debate – in terms of the definition of the debate. Both candidates were a little more cordial towards each than in the first controversial debate. Most viewers pay tribute to NBC News' debate host Kristen Welker. She was in control and both candidates were respectful of her.

Twitter gave Welker props and decided she was the real winner of Thursday's presidential debate.

After days of despicable and totally unfair attacks on her character and family, @kwelkernbc showed the strength, intelligence and presence it takes to lead a well-conducted debate. She deserves the praise of a grateful nation, and her colleagues are extremely proud.
