NASCAR plans to convert Bristol Motor Speedway to dirt track for regular season racing this coming spring, according to a Tuesday night report from CATCHFENCE.com.
The proposed event would be NASCAR's first dirt project since 1970 and would take place on March 28, 2021.
Other street courses will also be used in the next year, including one at Road America in Wisconsin.

With new races in NASCAR's 2021 schedule, competitions will also be removed.
The annual Chicagoland race is one of the victims of the sport's transition and the track's future as a venue is currently in doubt. Kentucky is another setting that is no longer in NASCAR's immediate plans.
NASCAR's playoff schedule for 2021 is expected to remain largely unchanged.
