Washington Wizards point guard Russell Westbrook has taken many business steps lately.
After the announcement last week that he joined the Varo Bank As an investor and advisor, The History Channel announced that it had picked up Tulsa Burning: The 1921 Race Massacre, a documentary compiled by Westbrook.
Now top 10 insurance broker Acrisure has announced that the nine-time NBA All-Star has joined the recently formed joint venture Evolution Advisors LLC as a founding partner.
“Access to insurance is critical to a company’s success,” Westbrook said in a written statement. “Unfortunately, minority-owned companies don’t always have the same opportunities as everyone else, so I’m thrilled to be working with Acrisure to give various business owners the opportunity they deserve.”
Evolution Advisors was founded to provide minority-owned companies, including Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certified companies, with better access to insurance products and financial services.
The company also includes the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl champion quarterback Russell Wilson; his wife, Grammy Award-winning singer / songwriter Ciara; and Thomas Tull, chairman of the Acrisure Technology Group, and founder, chairman and CEO of Tulco LLC
