Sources -- Brooklyn Nets get guard Bruce Brown in trade with Detroit Pistons

The Detroit Pistons are swapping security guard Bruce Brown for striker Dzanan Musa and a selection from the second round in 2021 for the Brooklyn Nets, sources told ESPN.

The selection for the second round in 2021 will be made via the Toronto Raptors.

This marks the first trade in Troy Weaver's tenure as General Manager of Detroit, and the beginning of his commencement of collecting assets and tips to rebuild the Pistons' talent base.

Brown, 24, is a tough, defensive guard who is expected to be part of the rotation of the backcourt of the nets. As the second round winner in 2018, Brown started 99 games in his first two NBA seasons.

Musa, the 29th overall winner in the 2018 draft, struggled to find traction with the Nets but is only 21 years old.

The NBA's transaction moratorium will be lifted at 12:00 noon on Monday. After that, this deal can be made official.
