Stephen and Ayesha Curry To Donate Books To Oakland Faculties

The curries, Stephen and his wife Ayesha, are expanding the fortunes of their nonprofit Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation, endowment. According to PEOPLE, the couple donated thousands of books to schools in Oakland, California.

The couple's organization, Eat. Learn. Play. The foundation has partnered with Literati to give 14,000 boxes of books to students affected by the coronavirus pandemic right before Christmas to Oakland Unified Schools.

“We and our entire team at Eat. Learn. Play. Understand the importance of early childhood education, especially when it comes to literacy, ”Stephen and Ayesha said in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE.

"Nothing is more fundamental, essential, fundamental or more important to a child's success in life than the ability to read well. We know there is still much to be done, but with partners like Literati, we hope that we can influence the lives of these children can. "

Only last weekend did the couple and their meal. Learn. Play. Foundation celebrated the holiday with the #ChristmasWithTheCurrys Event at Oakland Arena and the RingCentral Coliseum.

"What an unforgettable day! On Saturday, the #EatLearnPlay team along with our co-founders @ stephencurry30 and @ayeshacurry came together as we held our annual #ChristmasWithTheCurrys Holiday food and gift distribution in the safest possible way. We've donated $ 250 gift cards to 1,000 families in Oakland, plus groceries, restaurant meals, fresh produce, books, and boxes of amazing gifts from our amazing partners.

We have worked tirelessly to support all of Oakland's families during this challenging year, and we are committed to providing them with the food and resources they need for this holiday season and beyond.
