Thanksgiving DraftKings Picks: NFL DFS lineup advice for Week 12 Steelers-Ravens Showdown tournaments

Steelers vs. Ravens got even more interesting than just an AFC North rivalry game on Thursday night when Mark Ingram and JK Dobbins were put on the COVID-19 / reserve list. Suddenly, Gus Edwards and Justice Hill became intriguing DFS Thanksgiving games in Week 12, and both made our DraftKings Showdown roster.

The biggest phone call we've made is the fading of Ben Roethlisberger. That gives us some protection when the Baltimore passport defense reminds us it's supposed to be good. But we have three of Big Ben's favorite pass catchers on our roster, so we should do most of his production. As usual, whether or not to captain Lamar Jackson is the most important decision of any Ravens game, but against Pittsburgh it is safer not to.

DraftKings Showdown Picks: Steelers vs. Ravens

Captain (1.5x Price, 1.5x Points): RB Gus Edwards, Ravens ($ 12,300)

Unlucky for those looking to use Edwards as a super-cheap captain, DK didn't release its prices until after JK Dobbins and Mark Ingram were put on the COVID-19 / reserve list. But Edwards is still a decent price to pay for a serious offense suddenly to be used without the Committee of the Back. He'll be the best bet to score points from Baltimore's backcourt around the goal line and if we pay just a little here we can add good Pittsburgh pass catchers to our line-up.

FLEX: QB Lamar Jackson, Ravens ($ 11,200)

The Steelers were pretty much Jackson's kryptonite, but he still has one of the highest floors in the imagination thanks to his ability to hurry. Jackson scored more than 18 DK points when these teams first met this season, and that is more like his floor than his ceiling, which is massive even against a good defense.

FLEX: WR Diontae Johnson, Steelers ($ 10,000)

Johnson has had a 12-catch career day and his price reflects that. But since we're fading Roethlisberger, it makes sense to charge Pittsburgh receivers as best as possible. Johnson's dynamic ability to cross routes makes him a great use of our salary.

FLEX: WR Chase Claypool, Steelers ($ 9,600)

Claypool has averaged one touchdown per game in its first 10 NFL competitions, and its size makes it different from any other Steelers wideout. That makes him a threat near the red zone with a chance of finding Paydirt against Baltimore.

FLEX: TE Eric Ebron, Steelers ($ 5,600)

Ebron is a fantasy puzzle and you are likely expecting a touchdown for it to really pay off. But Baltimore is likely to get a grip on the Steelers' broad receivers, which could give Ebron more leeway to take on a young Baltimore linebacking corps.

FLEX: RB Justice Hill, Ravens ($ 200)

If you still want another Pittsburgh passport catcher, this is where James Washington fits in. But we use Hill as a direct backup for Edwards, knowing how much the Ravens like to use multiple backs. Hill is even worth a skipper's consideration at reserve price if you're feeling brave.
