"I believe children from different cultures deserve a chance to work in the industry, and I want people who look like me to be able to represent me in the industry," the actress and producer told The Hollywood Reporter.

According to their website, the She Ready Internship Program connects “transitional caring youth with transformative experiences in the media, arts and entertainment industries. The program is supported by Tiffany Haddish's She Ready Foundation and Ready To Succeed, a career accelerator for nursing youth that provides training, mentoring, and ongoing support. "

To apply, the person must be between 18 and 25 years old and a current or former foster youth. He or she would have to attend a community or 4 year college in California and be legally eligible to work in the United States.

The Girls Trip star shared the news on her Instagram account:

“I'm really excited about this program @shereadyfoundation is running. Thanks to @Hollywoodreporter for sharing. Please go to SheReadyFoundation.org for more information. #sheready "

Haddish, through her She Ready Foundation, believes that "every child who is removed from their parents deserves a suitcase, a safe place to rest their head, and a platform to pursue their dreams."

The program has received particular feedback for Haddish, who was accepted into foster care at age 12.

"You fell into the houses of these strangers, you don't know these people, these people don't know you, you don't know if they'll hurt you, if they'll be nice, you dress I have no idea what's going on" she said to David Letterman last year.
